Sacred Music concerts with Jiri Lecian
The events have been scheduled by the Academy of St. Cecilia and the Pontifical Institute of Sacred Music, under the art direction of Jiri Lecian.
The sacred music concerts that open the Path start on January 1, 2016 and close the religious events Jubilee day.
The invitation has been sent to the greatest musicians, and all of them accepted it, with a genuine spirit of sharing the initiative of the Works of Mercy.
Apart from the events that have already been published, new events will be added after being approved with high-level guests on the laic and religious aspects of the Laudato si' and the Jubilee of Mercy. They will be promptly notified in the Upcoming events section on the Youbileum.org website and our Youbileum App as well.
Summer concerts for young people and events of the Laudato Si'
The events will be mainly held in the Summer in specific equipped areas of around 30 hectares in the G.R.A. zone on the Cassia Bis road or the Flaminia road.
The institutional safety of the events has been improved by the establishment of a specific convention with a well-known private organization.
The participation of the artists in the youth musical events has been agreed on the special recall to participation in Works of Mercy.
The price for the musical events is 2 euros only, if you show your Pilgrim Card. However, your presence should be registered in advance, also for safety reasons.
Pilgrims will be able to visit the special initiative of "Opere per Operare", the annual exhibition with the great private collections of works of art. Here, it will be possible to admire the great masterpieces made available by private people to contribute to the Works of Mercy.
Caravaggio, Picasso, Monet, Degas, Renoir: the great painters of all times. The Works will be put for sale at the end of the Jubilee year. It has been agreed with the owners that part of the income will be donated, with Jubilee spirit, to help the activities of the Path addressed to the Works of Mercy and the protection of the common house, according to the spirit of the Laudato si'.
The art exhibition "Opere per Operare... in Cammino" will be held at the Church of Carmel in Via della Conciliazione, 14 - Rome.
The exhibition "Museo... in Cammino" will take place in Via della Conciliazione, 19/21 - Rome.
The art exhibition "Da Giotto a Caravaggio... in Cammino" at the Palazzo della Cancelleria in Rome. Detailed programs for each exhibition will soon be published.
These events have been organized by the Pontifical Council for the New Evangelization, starting from the Jubilee of the Operators of Pilgrimages. You can see it in our section ‘Great Events’ of the Jubilee of Mercy. The registration on the official Jubilee website is compulsory if you want to participate.
Generally, it is necessary to ask for tickets (free of charge) to the Pontifical House Prefecture, in accordance with the instructions provided on the website, for the participation in all the celebrations with the Holy Father.
In order to do the booking, it will be necessary to check availability in the chosen date and to participate in religious events on that days in which there are important events, namely the Wednesday general Audiences, the Saturday Jubilee Audiences (once per month), the Great Events and other celebrations with the presence of the Holy Father.
It will not be possible to book the pilgrimage through the Holy Door, since this will be reserved for those who take part in these events.
According to the number of requests and the time availability, the Organizational Jubilee Secretary will send -by email only- a reply, indicating the best time to start the pilgrimage, and a voucher to be printed and shown at the entrance of the protected path towards St. Peter’s Holy Door, at Castel Sant’Angelo’s Garden.

Pilgrims will be able to take part in all the music and artistic events, by paying as little as two euros, after having shown their personal Pilgrim Card.
For all the events organized by the Pontifical Council for the New Evangelization starting from the Operators of Pilgrimage, the registration on the official Jubilee Portal is mandatory.
